Wood brings warmth, practicality, natural beauty, and longevity to a range of household items. The refined technical skills developed through the study of fine furniture making have been put to use by Colin at Highwood furniture to create a range of pieces that wouldn’t be out of place in any home.

Cheese boards and serving platters, through to boxes with dovetail construction and marquetry and parquetry designs have found their way out of the Highwood workshop and into homes across the country. While Colin specialises in creating even these small items round the customers ideas and requirements a range is available on the Highwood shop

Highwood Shop

As with all Highwood furniture items these are hand made in Alyth, Perthshire, Scotland with (where possible) locally sourced timbers. Household items are finished in a food safe oil wax combination meaning a long lasting beautiful finish which enhances the timber grain.
